You control this with the gear icon next to the basic box.Īdvanced is where things are at. It keeps the fans always on, and when you really need the boost, it will not turn them up as much as you need.īasic is good for momentary tweaks (either the minimal setting for silence, or the maximum setting for quick boost), but not suitable for general use. This will have to wait until you become a more advanced user and you either undervolt the CPU and/or repaste your machine.Īuto sucks, don't use it. The GS65 can't cope with so much heat out of the box. I don't recommend touching this too much as heat output will increase even more, and the system can become unstable. There, you can slightly overclock your GPU and VRAM. When selected, the little gear icon next to the Turbo box will light up. You must balance this with high fan settings or Cooler boost. This will maximize CPU and GPU power, and your computer will become TOASY. Heat output will dramatically increase, and can only be used in battery power. More power but slightly more battery usage. Mostly unusable for gaming.Ĭomfort is the next step up. Use only when you need more battery, but keep in mind your laptop will be slower. You can set a shortcut for each profile so you can change them on the fly.ĮCO limits processing power in order to prolong battery life. CURRENT is the profile actually running, so any change you make there will be applied immediately, but NOT saved to the profile. You have 3 presets to choose from (Performance, Theater, Meeting) and 2 Profiles to customize from scratch. System tuner tab is where you set how fast and hot (or slow and cool) your machine runs. This is only the bare basics, there is much more to learn. There is plenty of material to learn more, but I'll try to show you the ropes with Dragon Center. The learning curve is slightly steep if you are a total beginner. It is limited in some regards, but it is actually good for beginners in my opinion. Being a beginner, you should actually understand what Dragon Center does before removing it.
